Results

R&I Loop results have been developed along three main phases

Phase 1

Development of a Blueprint on building R&I loops with and for society.
The Blueprint is the theoretical approach of the R&I Loop model. It is based on the identification and mainstreaming of existent good practices, as well as a set of case studies after implementing the R&I Loop toolkits.

R&Loop Toolkits

Two toolkits with a set of resources to support the path towards becoming a civic university were designed and tested

Each toolkit includes a manual/user guide and support materials that can be applied by Higher Education Institutions and other stakeholders to support the holistic approach proposed by R&I Loop.

Phase 2

Design of the Inception and outgrowing TOOLKIT
This toolkit aims to:
• Boost smart specialization and civic universities able to identify the needs and interests of regions, companies, and citizens.
• Foster public engagement and enhance the outreach and impact of research activities and results at different levels.

Phase 3

Design of the Nurturing TOOLKIT
This toolkit aims to:
• Foster research-led teaching and learning, presenting research skills and techniques.
• Embed research-based practices in the curricula, supporting students to learn how to be a researcher and engage in research discussions.
